Just In Case :D

My daughter has moved to Werribee for the year and is at the vet hospital.
She has her Mangenta and White roof round nose for transport.
It should last the year without any issues, but just in case my rebuild was crap and it needs work, who are the Mini experts in the area - Private or business?
I guess I should also get a service at some time.

Thanks for any contacts.

I live in the area. There are quite a few Minis around here.

As far as I'm aware there are no Mini mechanics on the west side anymore. Servicing jobs should be okay for a decent mechanic though.

Brett,

Is the "west side" the west side of Melbourne?
I thought there may have been something a little closer.

I will try and find the details of the business but the guy I brought my K offs partner I shall say was running an all female mechanics. She has her own mini so knows the ins and outs of them. Let me see if there still around :D

Yes, I mean on the west side of the Westgate bridge.

There used to be a couple of places (Minitopia and Mini Mac) but they have both closed in recent years. Every other specialist I know of is on the East side unfortunately.

I do all my own work on my cars and mail order most parts I need, so I'm a bit out of the loop for general mechanical work.

Davo111 might jump in and tell us who works on his Rover SPi as I think he takes it somewhere for servicing?

Cheers,

I'm out of the loop a little myself, but how about down Geelong way? Would probably be easier to get to from Werribee than going over to the "east"

I'm sure someone down here would be able to lend a hand in an emergency.
She would be welcome to join in any of our events too.

Yes of course!

There isn't anyone I would go to down here. I do it all myself now.

Yes, I'm happy to lend a hand in an emegency, and I also have a spare car (MR2) she can probably use in the event of disaster.

I saw here the other day, travelling quite nicely along the Princess freeway towards the Westgate bridge,  I followed her for most of the way with my window down and just listening to the symphony coming from the pipe at the rear of the car, what a great little car and that paint job, it was awsome.

Now I know she is related to someone in this room, the next time we shall have a chat, it should start off a little bit intimidating, but because she is a mini nut, like me, things will quickly turn to minis and mechanicals, and that will calm her down.  Just let her know that this may happen and there will be nothing to worrry about?????

Any mechanical problems whilst she is over here, just let us know and between a few of us, she should be able to be sorted them out quite quickly.

And yes bret, my mechanic now lives in Sydney, ( Mick),  but I normally do the simple things myself, any thing major ( Non as yet, Touch Wood,) I will go to Lynx or seek assistance from this room....

Cheers..

LOL, poor girl was probably checking her speedo every three seconds and wondering what she did wrong. That is assuming you were in the "company" car. :D

In reality the last Mini mechanic with a service workshop on the West side is out at Camperdown past Colac , Scott is a bit hard to contact at times but he always gets back to you , he can order parts if they are not on the shelf

http://classicmini.com.au/

So if your daughter has a major problem that would be the best place , as for general servicing as has been stated more than a few people locally to give her hand

.
