Made a new clutch seal fitting tool and changed the cheapo seal in the 1412 stroker for a Payen UK one.
Now I know it works OK I can change the comp one in my car next week (which I probably buggered up during fitting- as it has leaked from day 1).

Took off the locked door on the spare shell and disassembled the door hardware. Hopefully will figure out why the door wouldn't unlock tomorrow.

Played with motors, heads and carbies for Alice... Think I've found myself a good package now. 1098 +0.40 thou, mini K 4 sync box, 202 head with some decent work done to it :) thanks WEBBY78LS for the help and generosity! Really goes to show how good the local mini community is :) now to decide on the carby??? Just keep the 1 1/12SU or play with a 40mm weber? Hmmmm decisions decisions.

All coming along nicely now :) let's hope 123 grosso doesn't blow it up at hay

Primer/filler on the rust repaired areas of the clubman
Rub down is next and maybe some colour if I don't have too many disruptions today

Fixed the locked door on my spare shell. Turns out the pin holding the handle into the housing was installed backwards. Stoked I found out the problem and now the door works as it should.

Drove it to the petrol station. It ran out of petrol halfway there. It reminds me that I really should have a look at that fuel tank sender. Meh - it's full of fuel now, so probably not going to happen

Welded up a nice long crack in my carb heat shield to cure it of an annoying buzz at around 3000rpm. While it was apart, I finally got around to fitting a T-piece to the vacuum ports, rather than having one carb sucking the engine fumes and one blocked off. Checked the mixture with the Colourtune afterwards - what a big difference! One carb took a half turn to lean it off, the other a half turn rich.

Took it for a spin, and vroooom! No annoying buzz and plenty of go!
