How about this as a comparison...

Image

Personal note: The seocnd one looks friendlier, classic, more heritage-esque (for failure of a better word), and a little more slick. I also whipped it up in 10 mins...

LOL @ Aussie! Now you are just taking the piss out of me...

Cushy, I was just talking to a friend of mine (BA Multimedia Design at Curtin - I'm doing BA Graphic Design BTW), and he said that making the words that are on top of the image link are a piece of cake. Not fiddly/complicated at all. You can just make the words part fo the image and then link the corresponding areas, or you can still just link the text.

It only reads "ausmini" becasue you know it says "ausmini". Looks like it starts with a q. BTW, is it meant to resemble something?

Fruity, it doesn't have to have a professional tone, I just think that the overall appearance of the logo could do with more thought.

You said the current one wasn't professional hence my last post..

My point is, the same people post everyday. We come for the chat not the logo. Maybe when we start having ausmini events and promoting the forum, then that would be different! I think we should just be thankful this forum is free for us members as Poeee is the one out of pocket.

I just figure what's the point unless your talking about a logo for merchandise :? I mean no disrespect just throwing in my 2c worth!

Making those images rollover is easy as FatMaserati says :) If you guys need a hand with any coding or graphics I'd be happy to help out as i'm a web developer/graphic designer by trade... I kind of agree that the logo needs a bit more of well, an identity as it is just plain text atm.. the third one looks the best atm, not tacky and straight forward, others look to overdone in terms of the style...
