Honestly, I think it's fiddle sticks ugly.

It's got all the bad aspects of 90's automotive design. The wheels aren't very attractive, and the interior looks like cheap grey plastic and quite likely is.

The body kit is pretty naff, even the boot decal isn't appealing.

I suppose people only buy ERA's for the motor.

My 2c

Turbo motor was pretty tame anyway, restricted to 93HP or so. Easy to get much more than that these days with NO damn turbo!

It's rare and a nice car (of the era) but I don't like cars that I have to keep original. Some daft bloke in the UK will shell out 25 fat ones for it, no doubt.

Hiya,

The wheels look much better when the centres are painted - in my Moke's case - black.

I like them; they are Compomotive and seem pretty light for a 13 by 6.

They have a funky Allen key locking centre too.

Otherwise, I agree, as I don’t like body kits on minis - full stop.

cheers! jon

I just think that if you are going to turbo something, do it properly.
They didn't- because they wanted the gearbox to last.
But I guess hindsight is wonderful, it was a while ago they did it.

Come on guys... it was the 80s... every car had to have a boxy shape and turbo. Its the way things were... all the best cars were boxy and turbo'd.
Example.. Lancia delta integrale. 8) boxy awesomeness,
Ferrari F40 the King of boxy turbo awesomeness.

How about the Mitsubishi starion, Mazda series 5 RX7, R31 skyline.
Even the euros were doing it..

Embrace the boxy turbos 8)

Mr Fail, there is a difference between a classic design of its time like the Lancia Delta Integrale and a classic design of an earlier time being given a lazily designed body kit.

This Mini is rough. R U F F.

I can't believe there's a rule on Ausmini about not selling knock off bodykits. I think it should be allowed so we can see just who would go for that sort of silliness. Then line 'em up behind the Banned Button.

I tell you what though, the one good thing that Mini has going for it is that some Scouse lout hasn't yet bolted on some clear tail light lenses. The poms are mad for that. Ffffffffffuuuuuuuu.....

You can't polish a turd, but you can fit one with a body kit.

Agreed, you can also sprinkle glitter on it for that fully sik turd look. :P

[edit] I don't like bodykits on Minis much either, but the ERA one isn't that bad- I have seen much worse.
