I think more people were concerend with your boss' mental state and his attitude of wanting to kick someone to death or run them off the road next time he sees them for having the audacity (oh my, in a Mini even too!) of driving slower than he wanted to. Was there a sign somehwre on the road that said he had right of way?

sure, the Mini might be blowing smoke, but god help the next Toyota, Holden or whatever that has minor engine problems that is in front of your boss when he's in one of his moods

personally, boss or not, I'd tell him to go shove his head where his barnacles are and then purposely drive slowly in front of him so as to watch his blood pressure explode whilst waving the one finger salute

Sounds like road rage by proxy, if there's such a thing

Mate I'd be laughing my rocks off if my boss got cut off by a smoking mini & odds are he knows it's blowing smoke if it's that bad.

cutting of a cop with a smoking mini different story

:D wasn't laughing then .

Its heartwarming it really is to have the Mini community show some concern for his/ her Van that obviously has a problem with their motor

Forgive me for daring to suggest something so outrageous, but maybe, just maybe, said driver of Mini Van:
    * isn't a member of this forum; or
    * if they are, isn't looking particularly at this thread; or
    * is more concerned at what a violent and somewhat irrational man your boss seems to be according to your description; or
    * as wonderful as your very generous offer to help him is, he might already have things well in hand; or
    * insert your own reason for the improbability of some random Mini driving dude happening to chance upon your post here?
Also, I'm certain that if this random Mini Van driving dude is looking for help with his car, and he happens to be a member of this or any other forum, he'll likely ask for help .. and get it too :)

Of course, it's none of my business, but perhaps it's time to let this go 74Snail?

Good luck, and I'll be sure to keep you in mind next time I'm looking for someone to give me a hand with mechanical stuff on mine. Though, I hope you don't mind, I'll be giving your boss a wide berth as I'd hate to somehow inadvertently cross him? :)

Cheers

Davo

I am by no means taking sides in this, BUT!

If someone's going to pull in front of someone, in the right hand lane (which to me and others, is the OVERtaking lane or 'fast lane' if you will) and slow to 20km/h UNDER the allotted speed limit, then YES, they should be told off.. * not violently, but pulled into line if applicable*

IF doing 20km/h UNDER the allocated speed limit in any given area WITHOUT due cause (fog, slow moving congestion, stray animal etc...) isn't illegal, it F----- should be. It's flat out dangerous, same as doing 20km/h OVER the speed limit.. they're impeding traffic and quite possibly able to cause problems on the road.

I have (and I'll assume others here have) come around a long sweeping bend doing the speed limit and had to hit the brakes due to someone 'sight seeing' or such, doing well below the limit.. *if they're having >fresh< mechanical issues, FAIR ENOUGH.

/rant...

Ahh who gives a crap.....

People get cut off all the time. Your boss is bound to learn a good lesson. My old boxing coach used to drive round in a beat up mitsu starion. Never used indicators, never looked in his mirrors etc. He was just a crap driver. He attracted more road rage than anyone I have ever known. Poor bastards didnt know what they were walking into.

Hope your boss meets him soon. LMAO if he is now driving a white mini van.
