Monthly it seems my point foul up & the car wont run. a bit of empty paper solves quite quickly. its a pretty big nuisance especially today was ripping around then suddenly shes rooted. Had to run home get some supplies and walla it's the points again.

Fairly normal for everyone? think my dizzy is the old 29D or something .

Or is it my ignition system letting me know my spark just isn't quite up to the task.

New battery, coil ( now keep the old coil in car just in case)

Check what primary resistance the new coil is. It should be a 3 ohm one for a common Oz Mini. Marked on the bottom (sometimes).
If it measures 1.5 ohm (which are designed to be used with a ballast resistor) it will burn your points (and get hot then fail, too). Because the current flow is double a 3 ohm one.
Either swap it for a 3 ohm one, or buy a 1.5 ohm ballast resistor from AutoBarn etc and wire it in series.

According to this link it is a 2.8 ohm coil. Near enough to 3 ohm.

So do what GT M said, replace the condenser, preferably with a non-Bosch one. They have had probs lately (now made in PRC).
