It was good this morning that they concentrated on more than just the Ford vs Holden battles from the Archives.

Good footage from the 60's, Bob Holden driving a Cooper S around, and the Commentators pointing out that Mini's filled the first 9 places in 1966.

Cheers,

Dicko.

Actually the camera work and the production is very very good. The race is what it is and dependant on the cars and the drivers.

Its interesting that the performance of the cars is now exceeding the limits of the tyres and there is problems.

Bathurst always has drama elements, however, the commentary has some very good bits and some irritating bits. Especially when the experts are trying to create tension and extra drama.

Camera work is excellent.

Mike

Maybe the Rylstone Classic will coincide with the big race next year. After 35 years of saying I'm going next year, I'm going next year.

I enjoyed the pre-race build up, re-living memories from the good decades of touring cars than I did the race

I haven't been interested in Bathurst since V8 Supercars became exactly that, supercars!

I used to enjoy the element of surprise with all the different manufacturers involved, different pit strategies, tyre wear on the smaller vehicles, etc, etc. Now all the same car with different paint jobs, I don't know if next year will be better or worse with new rules?
