What's involved in fitting pot joints to a remote gearbox that was originally fitted with rubber uni's :?:

Pull the diff out, pull the crownwheel off, pull diff pin out,
fit pot joint output shafts/side gears, reassemble, refit.
Good idea to fit a comp diff pin and 2 new spider gears, with new thrust washers whilst it's apart.

The whole things getting rebuilt, quafie LSD aswell. I just wasn't sure it the alloy output covers were matched to the diff housing or if they will accept the pot joint shafts?
I assume I'd reuse all the alloy housings and just replace the diff with the replacement pot joint shafts and so on. Are the seals and bearings the same or are their differences to look for?

Sidecovers are same dimensions for rubber uni and pot joint. But Cooper S ones are 1/8" bigger.
Check the sidecover bushes are not loose on the pots, replace them if so. They need boring to size (.001" clearance) after press fitting.
Yes seals (except S) & bearings are the same.
