Who cares about the superchargers.. The car itself looks pretty nice if
You just took them off the front the think would be a weapon for relatively cheap price!

It was a weapon before he put the `superchargers' [lol] on it, it's slower with them I bet.

Hay, it's not about the car, it's not about the venue, it's about the people that come here. Peter Dwyer, Mayor of Hay NSW.

I liked the video, but it's hardly 'proof.' For starters they were attempting to pressurize the air filter box - if you attached a real supercharger to that, you wouldn't get any pressure either.

Just a little maths - lets say we want 5psi boost at 4000rpm from a 1l mini as a base level. That's one inlet stroke per 2 revolutions, so 2000l/minute (roughly - the air will be compressed remember).

If we assume we are at sea level with a single stage adiabatic compression with pure air (it's only about 1/12 fuel - close enough), we will need 1.03KW of power. That's just for compressing the air, give 30% friction loss and a 70% efficient motor, and we have 2.1KW.

So we need over 2KW for a fan that starts losing boost at 4000rpm. And I can't really see that small fan drawing 175 amps, can you?
