Greetings All.

Sorting parts for the wifes project. Refurbishing heater for under dash. Had a few questions:

Has anyone got a picture (s) of the little mesh/grill at the end of the fresh air hose (about 4-1/4"diameter) which sits behind the grill. Can't find a part number. Haven't seen one at Mini events. No idea what it looks like. Would replicate one if I had some front n back pic's.

Also, where to source the 4-1/4" hose from heater to grill (how long??) and the 1-1/4" hose to dash demist vents?

The heater is the one with a chrome toggle switch, and the lever you lift for airflow direction.

Cheers
Alex

Purple Pig here in Bayswater Melbourne has a very good quality tubing which is close to the original rubber over wire tubing.

The air inlet at the grill is a basic device which the tube attaches to with a coarse mesh.

The original metal one is similar to wild willy's plastic pic. IIRC the hose is 3 1/4 " not 4 1/4" dia.
While on this subject does anybody know if the the large rubber grommet that fits the bulkhead hole the air hose goes through is still available. I've been looking on and off for a long time trying to locate one. My S has the black cover plate over the hole and I'd like to convert the heater to have a fresh air intake. I did this on a 66 S I had 45+ years ago but all the parts were readily available then.

RonR.
The heater I have has a PVC fitting to take a 102mm (4-1/8") air hose. I also need the demister hose bits.

Purple Pig in melbourne still haven't replied with availability. Clarks Rubber can get it in if required $65 per metre, which I thought was fair.

Alex.
