No details, other than:
Red sportspack
Union Jack on roof
strpies, etc.

I think it was the car I saw at NMP some time ago, registered as a 72 clubby.
Looks like either the guy sold it, or drives it.

No, this had a flag on the roof. Certainly stands out.

So that car is still around!

Came in as a stolen-and-recovered 1996 SPi Cooper with S conversion, slightly damaged. Body numbers removed before sale in the UK at the write-offs auction, so it could never be reregistered in the UK. I saw it at NMP a few days after it arrived.

Fake sportspack arches and union jack roof added by the first Oz owner, who did the numbers job on it to get it registered as a rebuilt clubby. Then when he tried to sell it, nobody would buy it with the dodgy registration. Eventually it went to Shannons auctions along with a similarly dodgy blue car.

Actually its a very nice car, with full leather etc and plenty of grunt. Just the dodgy registration is a problem.

I could be wrong but I was told a certain Mini business owner now owns one of those Rovers.

Yes I think I saw that rover in the workshop of a certain mini business, we may even of had a conversation about its origin
