I put the radiator on the other day, and pushed a little hard on the top hose as I replaced it as the last step before filling it back up with coolant. Embarrassingly, it cracked away from the radiator. A little irritated at having to take the rad out again, I had a go at an in-car repair. I have a gas bottle here, they only cost about forty dollars these days, with bottles cheap to replace at half that price again. The repair seems to be working nicely.

You can't have a surface too clean before you put the flux on is the only trick.

Great work Mick!
It's good to see things fixed properly/restored, not just chucked in the bin and replaced.

Ah, the 998 cooper, nice to see it again, I can remember that drive into the middle of nowhere, and the near catastrophy as we transported it home, remember to cover the battery when you have a boot full of bits and pieces. ;-) ;-) ;-)
