I'm assuming Matt (Read) your bit replaces the metal part of the above kit?

Yes.

Matt's one has the o-ring next to the shaft whereas the other common one has the o-ring next to the casing, meaning it still has a gap to allow the shaft to move.

Having said that, i have one of the common ones in mine and it has not leaked in a year. Only reason i got it was because Matt was out of stock at the time. Then he goes and modifies his design to make it removable. I think next time i change the oil i'll stick one of Matt's in because the current one will probably be leaking by then.

cheers
michael

You can PM `John Smidt' or `TheMiniMan', otherwise look at the list in the how-to forum under Mini Biz.

The hard part is getting all the old ones out.

Indeed it is...

Is there a trick to getting it out? Drill? What kind of bit will I need?
