Hi All,

As the title suggests I'm wondering what colour the switch panel in my 61 should be.

Until you get a better answer, in the later models (mine is 68) it is the same colour as the wheels, silver birch metallic. Not sure for 61 but you will get a correct answer soon. If it is already silver then I would think that should be right but don't paint it that colour on my advice. Not much help I know but it will create some discussion. Cheers.

I think it should be white on the early cars, maybe Old English White like on the UK Minis. They went to Silver Birch Metallic later. Its listed as a 1963 colour on the online charts.

Thanks Gents,

It looks closer to white than silver, so I'll use the OEW I have for the wheels.

If its an early 61 car they are painted crinkle black, same as the cardboard speedo housing.

That is spot on, They also had plastic kick plates with aluminium surrounds

Also had the Pommy tube frame seats. After a few years the cushions sank like buggery...

It's a nov 61 I believe.

Got black kick panel, which I'm still chasing if anyone has a set (thanks Bruce for the one thru the week).

The switch panel looks original and is whitish, the speedo and surround I don't think are original, the speedo has tents on it not just miles.
