I"m about to change the diff ratio in my gearbox, to make it a little easier on the open road. It's a remote type... just wondering if I need to split the block and box apart or can I get to the pinion if I remove the speedo drive housing?

Thanks, Richard.

You can do it through the speedo cover...

Cheers, Ian

You will need to diss-engage the gear selector so you can engage 1st gear & 4th gear at the same time, to lock the box up, so you can undo the pinion nut
easy-peasy

deep 1-1/2 inch socket preferably single hex.

Same socket you want for doing balljoints and flywheel bolt.
