I have just fitted the bottom rad hose to my 1360 mini engine.

The mini spares hose appears to be to short at the pump and radiator end. I would say 20mm each end.

Has anyone come across this. The hose touches the timing cover.

For reference the timing cover is the one with the breather.

Not happy Jan.

If you buy from Karcraft in Sydney they have `Mackay' Oz made ones still (I think).
They fit fine, but most of out cars (except 1275LS and late 1275 Moke) had no timing cover breather.

As long as the hose is securely on the water pump and radiator i wouldn't worry about it. In this case with the mini, the radiator is mounted to the motor, so any movement should be shared and there should be no rubbing of the hose, touching maybe but no rubbing.

I don't see it as a problem in this instance.
