Greg - There was some discussion recently about the letter K in the MK II S body prefix; was it stamped or wasn't it? (see here - viewtopic.php?f=2&t=86078). That thread included photos of 1969 Mk II's without the K in the radiator shroud stamping.

I don't suppose you have an example with a K that you could share?

For a 1970 Cooper S having only an ADR plate, which will show the chassis number. Is there a reference to the engine number anywhere?

I assumed the question was whether there's a stamping of the engine number on a plate or on the car body somewhere. The answer for a 1970 Cooper S is no.

If 9er has a car number from the plate I can check if it's in the Cooper S register.
