 Post subject: 69 cooper s tail light

Hi guys can anybody tell me what tail lights my car should have? 2 screw or 3 screw.Also where would you go to find a pair? 69MK 11 Cooper S.

By proper Mk2 it was 2 screw, the one you are looking at is very early in the mk2 era (aka mk1.5 unofficially), so may be changeover period however??

1967 according to Lucas, via Morris 1100, so two-screw for your car Kath.

These reproductions are all you can get now so it's either those or nothing (or an old original). There have been numerous posts on here about how quickly those repro ones fade.

I had 2 fitted for 7 years and they still looked brand new when I sold the car, must have been lucky but then it was always parked under cover.

That's great to hear. Maybe there was a bad batch, or someone exaggerated about the fading, or their car was parked outside in bright sun every day.
