I've heard whispers that a supplier has these coming in the next month or so...is this correct...?

(I know, I'm not being patient! :) just heard this this week from a retailer)

I know what it's like to buy a minî part , without having high expectations of quality. But to wait weeks to recieve something that should go straight into the bin is annoying. Good on him wanting a quality part, as was previuosly said, quality remains long after price is forgotten. $400 is cheap for such an item, after all how many sets would be needed, it's not like they're for Hyundai Excel's.
I bought my set a fair while ago and I can say I'm lucky I did by the sounds of it.
Actually I'm surprised the likes of say, MSUK, hasn't got onto them. They sell everything else. Oh, and before I get corrected, I know they didn't have them on UK cars but since when did that stop MS.

They look better than anything they sell! I'm surprised also.

Originally from factory ones are Black. The ones John reproduces from the original tooling are white.

Was it possible they were in both black and white. I recall white ones being sent to us at the panel shop, this is late 70"s - early 80"s.

Hi All,
Good News, the new supplier Seems to think I should have some before Christmas, I really hope this happens,
Also I thought I had better clear a couple of things up, Pricing I Work on A standard Mark up and any price increase will be the result of an increased cost to Me, Over the years it has been suggested to me that I should mark them up more than I do because I am the sole Supplier, I have resisted this before and will continue to do so.
The colours Of the flares have changed over the years because of changes in availability of the base material, And improvement in the material used, The very first Colour was Dark Grey, the next Colour was Black, they are now made from a white material, however a good grade of material is now avail in Black, and I Can change to black, I just thought that most people expect them to be white now days
I have owned the tooling for a long time now, and when I purchased the tooling they were made from a black material and I continued to make them in black for many years, until I was offered a better material for a moderate increase in price, At that time white was the only colour on offer, So I made them in white.
