Wouldn't surprise me - everyone else in the automotive industry is packing up in Australia, I'm surprised they're still going now given all their worldwide competition.

Yes it is true, they will be closed by Xmas. If you want any wheels, do it fast as stock is running out.

Hadn't heard of them closing but probably explains why I just bought 4x 13x7's for $60 each brand new in box with centre caps.

What a shame.

Cheers,
Keels.

Harley, I got them from Swan Tyre Service in Osborne Park, WA.

I should probably clarify this a little bit so as to avoid confusion. I did not get the Superlites/Splines/GTR's whatever they are called in a Mini PCD. I got the Challenger rim in 13x7 with a PCD of 114.3. These are for my Honda powered Mini which uses this stud pattern.

Sorry if I got you excited about cheap Superlites :)

Cheers,
Keels.

Sad days , they tell me they will be closed in about 2 weeks.
They still have some 10 x 5 superlites in stock , but selling fast.

I suppose its not that surprising... Alloy wheels are basically solidified electricity..and we know what's happening the cost of the raw material...

It doesn't help that some years ago I tried to buy some wheels from them but the cost was greater (for their product) than the UK price + freight...

They were not at all helpful or concerned when I pointed this out... Khama

Cheers, Ian

Years ago I bought some wheels made in Adelaide. They were expensive and when they arrived and I had tyres fitted the vibration was terrible. The tyre place said they had balanced them right and it must be my car that was stuffed. I took them for a ride with the old wheels.
Turns out the five drilled holes (4 stud holes plus a centre) had been drilled off centre! The wheels would balance fine (with lots of weights) but rolled like an egg.
The Adelaide factory denied my measurements and made me pay to ship them back, then agreed they were no good but only gave me 3 new ones. Said the other 2 were within acceptable tolerance. They weren't acceptable to me.

So it is no wonder Australian manufacturing is in the crap, our quality is often worse than the Chinese and our prices higher than the Germans and then our customer service is terrible.
