Howdy guys. I don't post much around this forum but I lurk heaps. Thought i'd share this sad moment I lost my baby. Happened tonight in Hamilton, Brisbane. Taxi pulled out from a driveway and I braked hard - Next minute it's blazing. Looks like i'm shopping for a new mini...

Oh the humanity ....

Main thing is no one is hurt I'm hoping, and I'm sure you'll be back in Sir Alecs finest in no time.

Take care and commiserations on your awful loss.

Dave

That's a tough pill to swallow. I hope you have salvage rights on your insurance as mechanically you might have some memories to keep. Chin up, there's bound to be a barn find out there for you.

Sad to hear Mate, Glad you are OK though. Cars we can rebuild or replace but friends we can't.

A very sad sight indeed , as others have said , at least you are not hurt , but the car can be replaced ,
albeit not a nice thing to have happen .

No good at all, please tell us you were insured.

Any idea on how it started, where did it start front or back?

Ouch! It must have been pretty devastating sitting there watching it burn :(. I too am curious as to how it started. Maybe something in the boot shorting on the battery?

In the boot I would think, usually a fuel can rolling onto the top of the uncovered battery.
At least no one was hurt.
