I use minisport SA quite a bit purely because the website is so good. Yes they are more expensive but I would rather give them my money and wait a day for the parts to arrive than buy anything from the only Perth shop.

I have rang John at mini king online and got stuff, he is super helpful but when your in Perth with a 3 hour summer time difference it is tricky to ring eastern states suppliers. Plus I like to browse the website and always end up buying more than just the parts I was after.

If I have a big order I will use minispares uk, but if its just a couple of things then minisport SA gets my money. Andrew is always helpful and replys promptly to my emails.

Really useful info, thanks guys. I never really considered minisport uk because I thought the shipping cost would be through the roof, especially with large orders.

It all gets down to weight really, I get a lot from them and even with the shipping it's still cheaper. The service is excellent and ordering the stuff is great because you can ring them at 9 o'clock at night and they're open
Seriously though, when it comes to new mini spares, the majority of it comes from the UK anyway, so it makes sense to go direct.
You obviously wouldn't order an engine or body shell from them but smaller/lighter stuff is fine.

Beware buying small stuff from UK, the freight can kill you. I bought a few suspension parts from Minispares- when they turned up here the UPS freight was 40 quid. I could have driven to Karcraft, bought the same parts, filled the Mini's tank and still come out in front.
UK's Royal Mail is friggin' hopeless, they have a 2kg weight limit. WTF!

Yes, I use Minisport SA for some stuff, Andrew is very helpful and the delivery is fast. + Their website is tops.
But so is Minis Plus in Melbourne.

I use minispares over minisport UK everytime. I find the new minisport UK website is way too busy and hard to find anything..

A lot of what you buy from shops here turns up in a minispares bag anyway, so I tend to just buy from them direct!

I have bought a lot form minispares in the UK from panels to disc rotors, even with the exchange and shipping its more often than not cheaper than getting in the car and driving down to minisport ( and i can get it all delivered direct to the workshop ).

Someone else on here suggested Huddersfield for rims / tyres but i haven't used them personally.

I find minisport Au prices are ridiculously high. sometimes 3x the same thing from minispares UK.

I always use Karcraft, prices are great and I have the goods the next day

Larger items or expensive items such as wheels I import straight from the UK. I have found in the past importing wheels (with postage) has been cheaper than buying them here excluding postage.

I have bought 3 sets of wheels and Tyres from UK
Huddersfield are usually the cheapest, then MiniSpares and Minisport
It depends on the wheel and tyre combination you want and each company has slightly different freight costs so I usually research by going through the checkout process and stop just short of making payment then do comparisons. I also compare with Minisport SA as they are sometimes close in total price.

You should try out Midland Wheels and Tyresfrom Warwickshire. Consistently I have found their prices, freight, and service to trump the others.

I buy from Minispates UK. I keep a spreadsheet of the parts I need and when I have a good list I can do the quick order thing where you upload part numbers and quantity. Takes no more than 5 minutes for the whole online process.

With the parts in a spreadsheet it is easy to compare other vendors. I have done this a number of times and for large orders, just under $1000 including shipping, Minispares is generally 20 to 30% cheaper than the best Australian (Karcraft) price even after postage.

My last order was 14kg and the shipping was UKP85 of a total UKP518 order. It arrived in 5 working days.

Now that I have basically run out of normal parts to buy, I'll have to start buying engine parts. For these it is going to be much more about the quality than the price or ease of ordering.
