Around 20k seems to be the normal price for a rover mini here. Give or take a few grand

They didn't have a 45 limited edition as far as I can tell. It looks like a normal Cooper Sport with some aftermarket bits on it?

Edit: can see the Mini 45 sticker on the window. The Mini 40 was the special edition in 1999 (what being the 40th anniversary and everything). I'd guess the Mini 45 was an event to celebrate the 45 anniversary. This isn't a mini 40 either (or at least has all the mini 40 bits missing)

Thanks Timmy...yeah, the 45 sticker says 1959 to 2004...so possible just an aftermarket add-on

The car is maybe ex-Japan market...so could have had all sorts of options fitted to order.

So what is it
:?:

Next time I go out in the sticks I might look at tally plates etc :D

20k is a good estimate. You can import them for 15-25 from Japan.

They are too big for Japan's small car Kei class, so they are expensive to keep on the road there.

Nice looking ones here

i would say it's a pre 1997.
no airbag, no headlamp leveling switch were it should be. no one piece molded carpet. wrong stalks at the steering column. hard to see, but it looks like it has 5 switches above the heater, post 1997 got back to 4 because the headlamp switch is at the column. and the internal rear view mirror is not glued to the screen.

or a heavily modded one.

but a nice car nevertheless

Its a 95/96 model, no special edition or anything just a standard Jap spec car with sportspack arches and sftermarket wheels. In Australia would fetch 20k max depending on condition.

Unfortunately Doc, they still had to go from Longbridge to the Port of Embarkation...instant rust treatment :!:

(certainly snows heavily in Nippon, wonder if they salt the roads as well?)
