Hi Folks,

Just wondering if anyone north of Brisbane has a flywheel puller I could borrow for a night? Who would have thought the thing would be on so tight...

There's a six pack in it for anyone kind enough!

Let me know if this should be posted elsewhere.

Pat.

Hey Ken,

I'm in Albany Creek.

I don't actually need to pull it off, but I bought a clutch kit needing a new throwout bearing and a couple of other bits so I figured I may as well pull it all off.

But a fella from Rovertech in Brendale reckons don't pull it off unless I really need to as everyone knows there's a fair chance it could be an absolute mongrel to get off even with a puller.

Not sure what to do now.

I'm in Wilston and you can borrow mine if you can't find one closer.

Early in the morning or late evening pick up because I'm working all hours at the moment.

They (all Oz pre-Verto ones) come off pretty easily usually, I've only seen 1 over the years my puller wouldn't get, and that's because it had spun 90deg and welded to the crank when the motor broke a rod and things screamed to a halt. Got oxy out. :)

As a Mini owner, it's something that gets a bit of use- so why not make one for the future? I have put details in the how-to forum.

Cheers Mokesta, I'll PM you.

Yeah cheers doc, I've had a squiz at your how to, and I think I'll definitely be making one in the future. Fortunately Dad's got a lathe out at his workshop, it's just a struggle to get time out there.

I'll give it a go for sure, I'd feel a bit defeated otherwise!
