If the information made public is a (albeit partial) reconstruction of the factory production records, then I don't see how anyone could have any legitimate concerns. It will only serve to make things clearer for everyone, and possibly flush out more missing details.
The only people that I expect would rather not see it made public are those that know or suspect that their car is not what they thought or claimed. But in the majority of these cases I doubt this will have any effect on say, vehicle value, as the identity or details of car 'x' will probably already be considered a little sus.
