G'day Everyone, if this needs to be moved could a mod please help me out?

I just wanted to share with everyone a new business in Lawnton QLD that I'm working at. We are a new business branching off from the larger Colourfast Automotive and Industrial. We are a retail style spray painting and panel beating supplies shop offering a full range of products.

The business is called "Colourfast DIY Lawnton" and we are situated at 2/717 Gympie Road Lawnton. Right next door to Toyworld there, across the road from Repco!

Check out our facebook page and website if you don't mind, feel free to throw us a like and share if you can!

We have some great products, most importantly a full Spartan Supercryl Acrylic Lacquer Mixing bank and program with all classic Morris and Leyland colours! We also have 2 brands of 2pack systems and a spectro as well!

Lots of air tools, spray guns and materials to handle any part of your paint and body restos!

We're staffed by qualified industry professionals and I'm an old car guy and understand your needs.....look for my LC Torana if you're driving past!!

Here's some links to our pages

Thanks guys

Cool, I see your next to the 2nd book shop.
I'll call in and have a look next time I'm in Lawnton, I need a few sanding blocks!

Cheers Shane

We often have posts from people trying to source paint as close as possible to their car's original colour, so this is great news, especially for those local to you.

Are all the colours used by BMC and Leyland over the years readily available? See the colour charts here - viewtopic.php?f=25&t=66469

I had a poke through the program yesterday and found the bulk of Morris and Leyland mini colours with formulas to mix in Acrylic. Its an old Spartan computer program and pretty much is only good for formulas pre 2000! If anyone wanted those colours in 2 pack etc I would be able to eye match them from an acrylic mix or even use our spectro on a sample as well.

I'm still investigating courier options for sending paint interstate, although it doesn't at first appear that simple I will try and find a solution!

Hi Pete.

If you see a Ford Blueprint coloured clubby going past it is probably me. Bunnings and I are old friends so I buzz past there pretty regularly. 8)

And the colour was chosen by a PO. Hopefully I will get to change it sometime soon.

Looking forward to seeing the blue rocket buzz past Alec, toot the horn!

And yeah guilty as charged! I am a Torana owner too...I am trying to drive my LC to park out the front on nice days!

Hi Simonw, we dont have a huge range of aerosol vinyl colour on the shelf. Only the standard duplicolor black/greys etc at the moment. It is one avenue I'd like to see us pursue though so I will keep you posted!

I imagine a vinyl spray colour-matched to the classic headlining would be a good seller!

Just to give you guys an idea on prices here...

We have Spartan Acrylic Lacquer, which has been a favourite for generations for quality lacquer!

Spartan 1K Acrylic Primer Filler 4 Ltr - $95.00
Spartan Acrylic Clear 4 Ltr - $95.00

Spartan mixes = 250ml $24.20 for any colour

Group 1 = $55 per Litre
Group 2 = $75 per Litre
Group 3 = $88 per Litre

For example, Dusk Blue for an 1963-64 Morris 850 is a group 2 colour. Majority of mini colours would fall under a group 2 category.

Also for the guys at home who are repairing and priming their projects for getting painted elsewhere we have another brand of great 1K Primer Filler that can be used under either Acrylic Lacquer or 2 pack topcoats. Its priced at $90.75 for 3.5Ltrs!

Also forgot to add I can mix and match any colour and pump it into an aerosol with our machine if you want to do touch up or paint parts etc
