Yes, I have had some success.
Hope to give an update in the next few weeks as to what is being planned.

Not sure about the Cortina but I know that this is happening. Australian Production Muscle Cars onboard for The Mecca to Bathurst this year..cars from 1967 to 1987 are included from the BIG 3 Ford, Holden and Chrysler...

Hey!
Can one of the mods please move this item to "Planned events"?
Or do I simply start a new item with the same name?

Some of the NSW Mini car club members are going to Bathurst this weekend to scout around for locations and ideas.
I have been in touch with V8 Supercars Events manager, who was very positive about involving minis at next years event, and will be contacting him again next week now that the dust has settled from this years event.
At this stage it is early days but hoping for at least a parade of historically significant minis and a display of the cars over the weekend. I will start chasing up originaldrivers to see who is available.

Sounds good. Todd called into the shop on Monday. Hes feeling very positive. Hes just finished with the muscle cars and came through town back from Bathurst. Now I know Todd is involved I've pretty much booked my wwek off.

Hes heading back south to loan some cars for the Peter Brock movie

Hey Michael. Maybe we need to send you on a hot lap to see how fast the Wizard is! Not sure if you would need to plasti dip the car BRG to keep the purists happy. Good to know the car is a 1275ls at heart

There is a weekend package event now organised for 4 days at Bathurst in October 2016. Check out Muscle Car Events Australia.

Is there a limit to the number of cars that can enter? Also, how original do cars have to be? My 850 was red all over originally, but now it has a white roof, but otherwise externally looks like an 850.

Pictures always help as you’d agree.

The other option you may want to post is we now have a dedicated facebook page
