Todd is going to send out an update in the next few days. So far the owners of 40 minis have registered and paid. Now just need to wait till next year... :)

The same way they did it in the period, AFAIR, a pop riveted hook on the leading edge of the bonnet...

Query is off topic so, in brief, three riveted hooks across the bonnet (RHS, LHS and Centre). Pic will be in this month's BMCE.

Cheers

Not really, as Todd has asked if I would be willing to do it, and be one of the "Main" cars, as mine is fairly close from a distance away ie Green and white, with Green interior..

But Not keen on putting the pop rivits into my bonnet.. Happy to stay at the back this time.... More fun :-)

Mate,
Just bang them in......Its only holes.

If you need hooks I made my own. The bungee cord was NOS from America in the original style. You know, the dangerous kind that if it lets go will remove your eye and half your face. I have one spare here.

Three hooks was a bit of overkill. Any more and it would have pulled the bonnet through the slam panel for an aero advantage.

Hi all
I'm looking at doing my car up as the second placed car but does anyone have any decent pictures of the car 17C?
I know it is green (brg?) with white roof and a yellow nose and there was the dealers name on the front guards but was there anything else? I've found a couple of pictures on autopics website but they are not very clear.
If I'm going to do this I'd rather have it as close as I can get it.
I was thinking of trying to get in touch with Fred Gibson and see if he could help?
Cheers
Rod

Apart for Fred Gibson
Email David Blanch at Autopics on [email protected]. He does have lots of other pictures that are not on the website since he found some for me already :D
Also try Autosport TNF forum, there are some old photographers on that site that have a large database or just ask the question?
I will look up some old RCN's and other 1966 mags i have and let you know.

Hi Michael - thats cool, #3 finisher - This one http://autopics.com.au/66756-b-arentz-b ... ff-arthur/

I'm wondering who can shed light on the colours, esp those used for the markings - I'm going for #10. Many of the black and white images are very hard to make out the colours.

In fact, lets start a list e.g.:

Pos. Class No. Entrant Drivers Car Laps
1 C 13 BMC Australia [3] Finland Rauno Aaltonen Australia Bob Holden Morris Cooper S 130
Colours Main - Castrol Green/White. Colours Other - Orange? Dots. Signage.....

2 C 17 Vaughan & Lane BMC [3] Australia Fred Gibson Australia Bill Stanley Morris Cooper S 129
Colours Main -....Colours Other - ...Signage

3 C 22 Regal Motors [3] Australia Bruce McPhee Australia Barry Mulholland Morris Cooper S 129
Colours Main -....Colours Other - ...Signage

4 C 27 Marque Motors [3] Australia Arthur Davis Australia Paul Mander Morris Cooper S 128
Colours Main -....Colours Other - ...Signage

5 C 10 Baulkham Hills Service Station [3] Australia Peter Brown Australia Bob Cook Morris Cooper S 128
Colours Main -....Colours Other - ...Signage

6 C 9 Dents Motors [3] Australia Harry Firth Australia Ern Abbott Morris Cooper S 128
Colours Main -....Colours Other - ...Signage

7 C 24 W Jamison [3] Australia John Leffler Australia Bill Jamison Morris Cooper S 127
Colours Main -....Colours Other - ...Signage

8 C 23 BMC Australia [3] Australia John French Australia Steve Harvey Morris Cooper S 127
Colours Main -....Colours Other - ...Signage

9 C 16 B Arentz [3] Australia Barry Arentz Australia Barry Seton Morris Cooper S 125
Colours Main -....Colours Other - ...Signage
