Do you have access to a mechanical gauge? Will save a lot of chasing your tail. Maybe even try putting compressed air on the sender.

What 20W/50 oil are you running, some brands lose a heap of pressure when good and hot. I found Castrol GTX the worst- and Valvoline Classic, or Gulf Western very good.
