Hey all, I've done some searches and garnered some info on how to fit the Aussie round nose Cooper S flares but I haven't found a step by step How To.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I have:
- metal backing strips welded on and painted
- flares are painted

I think I need:
- chrome strips

Do I need anything else? Any rubber strips? I have seen people use rivets somehow to hold the chrome strip down, but not sure specifically how that works. I think the flares can just be held on by the chrome strips so no screws or clips are needed?

They use metal clips to hold the flare on and along the sill line then the chrome mould goes on and maybe a pop rivet on the ends

There is a copy of the original installation instructions here, although those who have actually done it may have a better method.

Great thanks guys. Thanks Winabbey that link is very helpful and I've save the instructions and I'll go from those.

Any tips from others who have done it are also encouraged (eg where and how to rivet the chrome mouldings, tips to do the job well etc)

If you fit the flares useing the MYH45 clips you may not need to pop rivet the chrome trim
on for a fairly long time.

even if you do not use the clips do not pop rivet the trim on until the trim starts to come away from the car,
this allows the trim to expand and contract settle in without breaking away from the pop rivets
