Hiya,

Morris1100 - yours could be an Avanti. Not sure.

This is a great resource.

cheers! jon

Thanks jon for the link!
I pulled the boss apart and unfortunately the hub looks nothing like any of the wheels on the list, the closest one looks a bit like the Clifford on the hub.
I will keep looking. :D

Hiya Morris,

Not to worry, I'll keep an eye out for similar styles.

Some beauties pictured there.

Cheers, Jon

I will get some photos of the boss tomorrow, it is a mixture of professionalism and amateurism in a very small space.
I think it may need a bit of re-engineering before I would even think of using it again. It is a very poor design.

I know this is OT but, wow, the quality of the cars shown in these pics is a credit to those who have lovingly put them together and I'm sure that they are just representative of so many other great cars out there of whatever model. Take a bow Mini owners.

You might be better off asking in the wanted section

This is the bit that worries me...Image

I think it might need a few more screws.

Hiya,

Hmm, looks decidedly amateur!

Might be better off using a Momo or other six screw boss and hide the drilled holes with a horn ring, I would think.

Cheers Jon.

The outer part of the hub (shown below) provides some clamping force and holds the stock horn button but it is still the three screws that provide all the strength.
Six screws should be adequate.

Hiya,

Really? Multi-hole steering wheels are fine, if the holes mate up correctly with the boss kit and proper screw or bolt fasteners are used.

It's good enough for classic Ferrari wooden wheels and I expect they would know....

Cheers Jon
