Hi everyone,
Put in a new master and slave cylinder this arvo to see if i could get life into this 81 moke. Clutch arm has plenty of throw but thrust bearing ( nut at bottom) doesnt move at all. Could it be that worn to show no movement from the bottom two bolts at all? They are wound out. Could ball on bottom of arm snapped? I have a few spare clutch covers ( complete) in decent nic, i think i will pull it off tomorrow. Just trying to test gearbox before i strip car down for paint

Yes, the ball can snap off. Its easy to check, just remove the pivot pin at the bottom of the arm.

Am hoping is just that, pin is well and truly stuck in so will just pull the cover tomorrow. Engine runs sweet so im guessing clutch is why it was parked 20 yrs ago!

Replaced clutch cover and clutch now engages. Old thrust bearing was totallt worn inside to the extent it wasnt even pushing on the spring plate! Now to rebuild front brakes and i can test out this 1275 lump before the tear down :-)
