I guess the title says it all... how hard is it to put seats from another car into a Mini - are there a handful of cars I should look for seats from, or can any seat be adapted to suit??

I've spotted seats from a few different cars that I like - Suzuki Sierras have nice bucket seats, and some skyline and pulsar seats go cheap every now and then.

I have a 1976 Leyland Mini Clubman...

Thanks!!

I think there has been a couple of threads regarding seats started on here before, give the search a go, i think there was some pictures posted on how the seats fit and look and maybe even some pics of the brackets they made.

I work at Willshire's, a Recaro distribuor. I love how everyone thinks that the seats out of SO many jap cars are made by Recaro. Ummmm.... No.

Base model Recaro's start at around $1100 each, plus runners and frames - anything less than that and its all lies.

You've been warned...

Look in any thread about fitting seats from other vehicles...

WRX, Familia, etc. always get called Recaros. Unfortunately not.

I only wish they would fit in my Clubby

Recaro's are WAY overated, in the 80's they were the king of seats, but times have changed now.

Ah i know im devastated.
But I'll be saving money by flying.
And I won't run the risk of something bad happening to the Rover.
Like Big Matt.
Whose engine will cease on the way over.
And Spaceboy.
Who will be constantly fouling plugs.
And Matt having to wait back for him.
hehehe
So i suppose its a good thing?
I'll be hiring a car in Syd-e-ney so I can at least get around places. Easily.
