I can't help you out with that. But I'm also in Canada (Victoria), and I was wondering where are you located?

I am in New Brunswick, the other coast.

I like the flip on yours, mine flips forward. I will have a 1275 in by spring. (fingers crossed)

I didn't want to rub it in, but since 9YaTaH did, I will too. There are a couple fellow Ausmini'ers who are coming to see me here in Victoria in a couple days. But they left a week or so ago so it's too late to send anything with them. I look forward to meeting fellow Ausmini'ers, I don't think the chance will happen too often for us Canadians.

So I have a good idea just a couple of weeks late Eh?
I was thinking it would be a good time of year for people to be going to see friends and so on. the items I need BTW is a set of vent windows complete with the window track. so not heavy but may not fit in the overhead bin. I have seen people travel with Ski's and they just check them when boarding.

And yes I know the Canadian doors are different but I know a guy that can customize the vents or my doors. we just need the assembly to start from.

Really hope someone will be able to Help

Hey Andrew

Its really only the vent window and the guide for the roll up part of the main window. if that makes sense at all. so the height of the door including the window and the width of the vent pane. and I would think not very heavy.

And Barrie would be great - I could have you drop it with friends.

Why not just have them posted over as two parcels via air mail.

It would be in the region of $40 per parcel.

I am about to post a rustic shearing handpiece to a collector in minasota (however that is properly spelt) The hand piece is not that much shorter and weighs 1.55 kg. It fits into the 1.5 - 2.0 kg category and $AUS39.75 via air or $AUS 27.00 via surface.

I don't want to intrude on the topic, but I'm just wondering if anybody has ever shipped parts off to the UK, and any couriers that can be recommended from the land down under?

Even better, would anybody know anything about bulk shipping parts, such as a crate full via sea (or however it works)? :?

Yes - I have - I lived in worked in Comber, Co. Down for a while and have sent all nature of things back.

The dynamics of couriers have changed since them but bsically postage works well but to a point.

In short, tell us what it is you need and we can advise better

I bought the 1/4 vent windows from Ben (siclad) in March 2006 and we have tried the "surface" mail twice and neither have ever gotten here. I don't think either Ben or I want to pay for shipping again. and I would feel better knowing that someone from the mini community was bringing them over. If they are checked as baggage there is no charge. and once they are in this counrty (canada) I can get them to me much easier.
