I was just wondering if anyone has ever fitted a Rover master cylinder / booster setup in a Moke?

I have everything here and would like to know what others have done before I pull the angle grinder out.

The problem is with the firewall mount for the master cylinder / booster bracket. It extends too far back for the Moke firewall. This part that extends back has a spring on it to return the brake pedal, and then a hole to put a bolt through in to the firewall. I was thinking of lopping this bit off and using the spring that is normally on a Mini brake pedal, as the Rover one does not have a spring on the pedal pivot.

Pic to come...

Edit/ Pic is here.

I built the engine for a good friends of mines Moke, 1380, 5 speed, Metro vented discs etc. We used the Rover booster as they work so well. Cant remember exactly what we did to make it fit, but is wasnt hard.

curl that end underneath the booster if possible you still need that extra bolt it does heaps to stop the booster flexing around
