is it stuck engaged or disengaged? if it wont disengaged id question everything from the diaphram to the master and slave could be alot of things. is it doing absolutly zero or working with several pumps? any info will help. might be simple or it could be a problem for the experts on here

just another thought try gently putting it into gear as u rock it back and forth it may be a gearbox or selector thing and not a clutch but sounds like ur fairly confident its clutch. might not be pushing enough.

Have you tried adjusting the clutch?

Have you removed your arm to check the condition of the ball or if it is infact not broken?

Can you feel the pressure of the diaphragm spring against your pedal?

It wont be anything too disastorous or hard to fix, if it is infact the clutch that is the problem.

Post some pictures up or explain in depth what you have done and what it is or isnt doing

Matt

I agree with the above post, it sounds like end of the clutch arm has bent (i.e. the ball has moved right were is is connected to the arm), they often fatigue.

The same thing happened to a 1275LS that I had!

bummm.....

Quote:
my clutch has problems i try and use it and it grinds and you cant put the pedal all the way to the floor

this happening must be inside the clutch housing - the fact that it makes a grinding noise when you put your foot on the clutch must mean something grinding against something else

maybe the diaphragm spring is broken, or the pressure plate cracked?

Either that, or he actually means it grinds when he tries to select a gear?

How did the clutch stop working (I'm asssuming it was working before and isn't a car you're trying to get going ?) , did it slowly get worse or did it just stop one day ? How old are the master cylinder , slave cylinder and hose ?

Mines doing the same sort of thing. Clutch MC is new and bled it. Can get into gear easily when car is off but when its running it cant get into gear. Also when i try start it in 1st the car doesnt start when the clutch is in. Its all adjusted and the clutch arm is movie so not sure whats wrong with it.
