There are a few marks on the insert from porting but only away from the seat. I think the seats are done pretty quickly from the factory. Like I said they do seal but I want to make sure they keep sealing for a while yet. I wasn't convinced the would last long. Guides were removed /shortened and belnded in.

I'll go back to using my 1.5 Roller rockers now the Valve springs have been upgraded. Dellortos all rebuilt and linkage sorted. I'll have to use my perry lcd until some more $$$ comes for an exhaust. Rang Link Auto. re Brownriggs and he is waiting to sort out someone to bend the outer pipes for him as the guy who was doing it sold his gear. They might be ready now though? Anyone know?

I've been waiting three years for mine. I ring every six months and get the same story. Someone has said previously here that a brownrigg copy is available, but I dont know where from.

I emailed Link a couple of years back, I needed a Brownrigg Y-piece. Never ever got a reply... so I sold em.
You might have to settle for a Maniflow or something.

I tried to get a new Y piece form Link for ages with no success, in the end I gave up and got one made locally. Don't they want your business? Ron B was always so helpful.

From Martin
"We have just sold out of our production run of 100 heads. We will have more in at the warehouse in a week or so. There will be a small price increase on the heads. The foundry production cost went up a little $100usd per head, so we will increasing the price a bit to compensate.

Ps, I'm in the process of sourcing small 12mm velocity stacks to use on the weber 40s as these allow for better hood clearance. We had been trimming ours but this will look cleaner."

Not much room in there with twin Webers..
Are all you guys with roundies going to run without filters, or mount a big ugly schnoz on the bonnet to give some room?

neither, opening up the bonnet to allow room for the filters to stick through. Let the world see whats in there.

I always liked the rather raunchy look of four ram pipes sticking out the front of the bonnet. But I'm not sure how legal that would be.

Similarly you used to be able to remove the grille in summer but I'm sure that too is frowned on nowadays.

So my ideal "means business" look is: 4 ram pipes out the front of the fibreglass bonnet, no grille and 4 slide lock type bonnet pins.

It's only a Mini officer.....

Have you seen my previous black mini. I think 4 ram tubes out the front is taming it down a little. Cops arent that bad, as long as it meets the traffic guidelines for bonnet scoops etc shouldnt be a problem. G.

Many brands of weber replacement throttle bodies are really short and will allow clearance. The plan is to either use two of those or make a manifold with injector ports & plenum and use a single throttle body, similar to the dodgy one I brought to the Muster. (did anyone see that?)

Check out these, only 30mm long! Plenty of room for a ram stack and sock!!

yeah look, i have to agree,,, these days it`s just sooo easy to inject,,, & fuel economy is also important these days,,, carbs just can`t beat the economy of a well set-up sequential injection system without sacrificing performance.

Thats getting very interesting now, looks like you could buy the head with the webers, sell those and inject it with the money from selling.

All very interesting indeed.
