Shouldn't be too difficult to make a hazard circuit just use another indicator flasher can except it's wired to indicators on both sides. Easy to wire in if you set it up right next to your existing indicator can.

No - its the indicators that light up but only on cars that have a reversing light switch on the gearbox that ios activated when you select reverse. Most rod-change systems have that.

No, its not easily transferible to early gearboxs

A good autoelectrician should be able to give you a set of hazard flashers quite easily and cheaply. They also could give you reversing light as easily but i think its illegal to have reversing lights that are not gearbox controlled.

I have hazards on my 71 Clubby but I did use the full Starlet loom which made that bit alot easier. Now to hook up the reverse?

I wired in the Hazard light section out of an early two door Range Rover,( this wiring uses bullet connectors ). This is similar to most early British cars and uses two flasher cans, original one for normal blinkers and the switch cuts power to this and powers the other square one ( flasher can ) for the Hazard lights when selected . My bedford van uses this circuit. I figured I was Small and White and in Fog no one would see me. Now I have the big red switch which flashes like a Christmas tree........ very Blingyyyyyy.

Yes it is Mike, you just replace the gearbox's reverse gate detent hex plug (below the oil filter) with the reverse light switch and plunger, as used on late Mk2S etc.
Bit of wiring, and Bob's yer aunties's husband. 8)
