have you got a pic of these wheels to let everyone else see them?? you could always sell of your wheels you have now and get a newer set that fit over the brakes. wouldnt lose out to much.

I do have a cupla shots of the wheels, but I took them with my phone. And I dont know how to post them on here???? Anyone able to give us a pointer!!! The quality of the shots is still ok though. As for sellin the wheels, I honestly couldnt be stuffed. Paid $1200 for wheels and Yokohama A539 165's, I doubt I would get a great deal for them, even though they are in as good as new condition!!!

Like I said if I go ahead with it all, will just do it as if I have 10in wheels, though it kinda defeats the purpose dosnt it??

Insert dimplomatic reponse about being sorry for your trials and tribs and what not...

You could easy sell the brakes as a kit man. Sell em to someone in NZ or UK. Not covered under corresponding laws. So if the sh!t fails no one's coming looking.

Its not worth the effort man, nothing on this car has ever been easy and never will be. Depends on how enthusiastic I get about it now. As to if I will go through with the conversion.

Well I was surprised to, cause the rotor is only 12mm thick, but thats what Repco have told me. They contacted DBA while I was there to place the order, so I guess Ill have to wait and see, its going to take 2 weeks for them to get here so Im assuming that DBA have to make them especially, I tried to get blanks that havnt had the stud pattern drilled but was told they wouldnt supply them like that??

You can get blanks.....but they are special order only. When i called DBA for Ben they told me that the wait for blanks would be between 6 months and a year

Also dont think those rotors will be vented....im pretty sure they are solid only.

DBA had already had a production run so they said it would be an 18mth wait till they did another run, so then I would be able to get a blank rotor.

did you see the rims with no tyres? looks like they would have the same profile under the rubber (i doubt they're any thicker (ie stronger)

whats does the outside look like, almost like they would be 10" centers with massive rim

I had this problem with my superlights, i spaced them out & fit new flares now im fixing a wheel rubbing problem.

Just cut them down as if you were fitting them to 10"

Once the tyre is off, the rim profile matches what u see on the outside. They arent any thicker. Yeah, they are pretty much a 10in centre with a 12in outside diam. I would have to space the wheel out no less than 30mm which is just to far out. Not worth the hassle, so I might continue on with it next year and get the rotors machined down. Had enough stuffin around this year!!!!!

If any1 has a photo of the inside of there 12in rim could they post it up here, just so I can see what other rims look like.

Ping `Mini Mad' and ask if he can take a pic, to show the difference...

When we bolted his 12x5 Superlites up with NO spacers there was still a couple of mm caliper clearance, with full size Honda discs!
He has had these wheels for a couple of years....
