Why would you want to?

Someone else may want it later down the track and it IS part of a mini - why change it?

yeah the old owner of the car cut a piece out of it for some reason i don't know.

i wanted to fill the holes cause i wont a clean smooth engine bay and there not used for anything important so why not. i don't plan on selling the car if i do it wont be for many years. plus the rest of the car has been given the smooth clean look so why leave the engine bay.

just an idea (remove more holes) delete the interior heater and use an old/new hair drier.......no hoses through the firewall and you will have hot air blowing on to the windscreen so your states rta will be kept happy.........

Unless you lengthen the wiring and put it through a grommet you will have fun fitting the binnacle.
It's a good mod once done- on Barney I can sit in the car and take off the whole Mk2 S binnacle, unscrew speedo cable and wiring, oil pipe, the lot. I use an early Clubby speedo cable to allow this.
