I use to use an air one and then at home a lever. They are both very cumbersome, the air ones are good as you can a couple of bites at the job very quickly where the lever you have to compress the an compress and adjust then have another go.

I like the drill press idea sounds very civilised.

I have a hydralic press / Ram that I made for valve guides and the like I think I might knock something up to fit on there.


Although I do like the G clamp though
