When I was a kid I used to help out at the local machinery museum restoring tractors
with some of the old farmers of the district and was amazed at what a little CRC would free.
From rusted levers to seized pistons that had been stuck for decades!
Good gear.

Keep at it lilmatti. Skin those knuckles!!!

Yep it's spelt Penetrene, I used it in the 60s, it's good stuff if you find it.

what you need you get the door hinges off is a sidchrome "microtuff" ratchet. the head on these things are tiny and the teeth on the ratchet are very small and fine. (72 teeth in the head as oppose to the standard 36) this means only a small rotation of the head gets results whilst the small head fits in the corners up under the guards. i got one a few years ago in a small socket set and it is the best set of tools i have ever purchased. for work on a mini it is perfect. go get youself a set. you wont be dissapointed. 80 bucks very well spent.

after about a day and a half of trying i finally removed those damn hinges, used HEAPS OF WD40, a size 11 socket nut, and instead of using a ratchet i used a alan key to turn the nut.

The threads are 1/4" UNF, nut size is 7/16" A/F (11mm is close enough that it fits OK).
