Well, had a good day today. After following your suggestions, and with the help of the wiring diagram, Im slowly getting through it.
Today, I wired the alternator, one Brown with yellow trace, one brown and one brown with blue trace
I wired the electric fuel pump from the pump (there was another aligator clamp under the car). I took the wire back and up through the rear taillight wiring hole, then along the inside floor, under the door trim and through the dash, then along under the windscreen and followed the loom up to the fusebox, damn Im proud of me
um I forgot the inline fuse, but as brickworx has suggested maybe dont use one, I'll go with that.. fuel pump sorted
One wire that has me stumped (there are more but this one for now) is the white with brown trace and female of the spade connector plug ends. According to the wiring diagram it goes to the oil pressure switch, but I dont know where that is, or if I have one. I looked in the manual I downloaded but could only find the oil pressure relief valve which has no wires coming from it. Can anyone shed any light on that please?
Damn, I was using a different wiring diagram, the one gafmo has shown here shows the white with brown trace that I coul;dnt find on the wiring diagram I was using today (Saloon, van and pickup 76 onwards

grrrrrr, ah well will check the stuff Ive done, and now I know where the white with brown trace goes
Thanks gafmo
