If it turns over, than there is no point in rocking it, because if it turns over than the starter isn't jammed.

Does it sound like it is trying to fire or does it just keep turning over and over?

A few things to check:

* Fuel in the carb
* Spark at the plugs
* Check all your leads are on tight

Earth the lead against the block and watch for a spark, do that for all the leads.

then when i disconected the battery the negative wire was hot

anyone got any ideas what is wrong?

is it just a crap battery?

cheers leighton
