just fitted them and the car looks totally different! They are much cooler!!

Just for interest sake, the first type of Headlamps had a reflector (usually silver plated ) then a glass lens, I think in the 50's the semi seal beam was introduced the reflector was sealed to the lens, some time after this the sealed beam was introduced this was a totally sealed unit, The idea of sealing the lamp was to reduce oxidization of the reflector, This is about headlamps in general

If You are looking for originality the headlamps should be Lucas seal beams, ( with Lucas in the centre of lens ) Any headlamp that you can remove the globe from the rear is a semi seal beam

Got them fitted today, Went home from work, for a little while ( joys of being a company director)

THey realy have changed the front look of the mini. I couldn't believe it!! so much classier I feel. :D
