You mentioned underbody colour. I like the idea of colour underneath. Be mindful that some deadeners are black and cannot be overpainted. I like the contrast of having body colour against black bits and silver pipes.
Here are some examples:

Then again at the end of the day - who is going to look under your car anyway!

This project was done in Acrylic. If I had access to a proper booth I would have no problem with going 2 pac. I painted this one in the drive way so chose to go acrylic. Just a comment about being legal to paint 2 pac or not - even if I did have the correct booth, I would only attempt 2 pac if I had the right area and I would make sure that I had the correct air respirator in place as the isocyanates are the things that will come back to bite you, and yes. . . they do KILL you over time. I am building a new shed to facilitate 2 pac jobs but it will have correct fans, filters and fresh air supply system for the painter.

It stuns me the number of people who will consider spraying 2K at home, because "it's only illegal if you get caught". It's illegal for a reason, the stuff is dangerous and will kill not only you, but your pets, your neighbours pets, your neighbours, etc.

Leave 2K to the pro's with extraction systems and scrubbers.

I just put a bit more acrylic on the roof of my clubby today and it went on near as shiney as 2K. Still i will sand and polish it to match the orange peel-less of the rest of the body.

sorry, I should clarify! "It is only illegal if you get caught" goes for all painting! enamel, acrylic, and 2pak. I do not personally spray 2pak at home, hence the sujestion of a fume extractor to help filter the spray.
I never spray outside in the open, only in an enclosed environment, I always wear the appropriate safety wear, and I treat all paints the same. Dangerous for all, and the environment!
If people wish to spray at home, then go for it. I can only sujest using proper precautions as I have kids and animals as well!
As far as "its only illegal if you get caught" goes, I sometimes say things, as do many others with a little "tongue in cheek".
Sorry if I upset!

Generally all volatile chemicals are very dangerous in more ways than one, even that common type we all put in the back of our cars.

I agree completely with all comments about the dangers! I spray at least 3 days of the week at work. But as I said earlier, and I am sorry again for wording it incorrectly, I never spray in the open. Including acrylic in my driveway!
