To be honest guys, does Wetter Water make that big a difference to temperatures? (that was not a sarcastic question, but a genuine one). Is it noticeably better performance than Glycol?

I find I run too cold in winter as it is...

I'm taking a guess only...haven't researched it. Water draws/transfer heat better than oils, glycol or other additives. A wetting agent (detergent is a wetting agent)
would eliminate surface tension therefore bubbles would fail quicker
and surface area of the water with the block and head would be greater.
Am I right?

as i understand????

with the additive, and less bubbles forming on the surface. Would this mean less cavitation (moving of water in a non uniform way) which slowly damage the water jacket of the block, the radiator and everything else it runs through.

I had this explained to me buy a bloke that works on large gas plants. he said whether its a gas or a liquid, smooth corners and better flow means less cavitation, means longer lasting parts.

As far as i know water wetter is as MG Rocket said. I believe a lot of racing car teams use it for the better heat transfer. I know for a fact 1 of the v8 racing utes uses it and would assume most of them if not all do as well.

I'm employed by Toyota and there are now two different "red" coolants.
The original "red" coolant is called -Longlife coolant, that's the type that you mix.
Now they have a product called- Super Longlife and it's bright pink, this one is used without mixing with water.
Toyota also say that the two different Coolants are not compatible with each other. :o

I'll keep using the redline product :)
