Finally got a reply from the engineer, he can see no problems with replacing standard seat belt bolts with eyelets for a harness providing they are a direct screw out /screw in replacement. Had no problems with my SAAS seat, he was happy with my mounting method (70's Volvo) main thing is to use crush tubing if bolts go thru pipe/ box sections.
