One thing that does annoy me in NZ are the sets of Hi-los for sale in NZ, without any mention that they need certifying here. I for one didn't realise and it lead to a metro disk upgrade (no bad thing) and a complete restoration while I was at it (again, no bad thing). But it irks me that someone else will buy them and get pinged for something relatively innocuous.
Yeah you look at any of the suspension gear for sale, nowhere do they ever mention it. If asked, half of them will say "not sure" when they know damn well it does.
The flip side of course is that your average WOF inspector doesn't have a clue and will just pass a lot of modifications. Hell I know someone with a honda caliper conversion who gets passed at VTNZ every time.....
