Rhys,

Running your car that low, do you have any clearance issues with the steering?

At the moment I don't! As I'm only running 5 inch contessas and falkens!
There's about 1cm of clearance between the front of the guard and the edge of the tyre!
So going flat out around corners it's fine just have to be careful going into driveways etc!

Cheers, Rhys

1cm gap there is awfully low.
You need a bit of clearance to the bumpstops, otherwise you will get skittish handling on bumps...

I have done some Hillclimb and club sprints but no expert on track setups but I found that 60mm top of tyre to guard works ok on the rear, a little lower at front, say 50mm. Running Yoko 32r, 22 to 24psi pressure in the rear also lessens oversteer. I also run very little negative camber but as much caster as I can without the tyre touching the guard when cornering.

Yeah, I did drop the tyre pressures a bit after a few laps and it helped.

Thanks for the input Matt, I remember when we set the car up, I was complaining it was so low itwas catching on the car trailer getting it on and off. You raised it up so I didn't have any issues driving around the street. I will drop it a little bit before the alignment and see what the suspension guys can do.

Is it worth getting the car corner weighted? Does it really help? Isit even relevant to a mini, or is it just something to brag about at the track?
